Get Organized and Release the Stress

When your house is full of clutter, the brain tries to take all of this in when you enter the house, and add that to a brain already full from work, school, or other activities that make up your day, and you will feel anxious or stressed, and not really know why.

We can’t change a lot of things on that outside world, or all the responsibilities we have, but we can change things around our home. Our home is suppose to be a soft place to land at the end of the day, not a chaotic mess.

But trying to get organized, can feel just as stressful. The best way I found to tackle this, is to make a list of the rooms in your home, and start with the smallest one. This will give you a sense of accomplishment quicker.

In my home the back hallway was always a mess. I invested in a shoe rack, coat hooks for the wall, and a tiny cubicle storage unit for the wall. My hallway is very small, so just a few shoes here and there, the newspaper and keys and backpacks, and you were tripping as soon as you came home. Not a great way to start the evening.

I set up the shoe rack on top of some rubber mats, and instructed the family to use the shoe rack, and to take other pairs of shoes they didn’t wear all the time to their own closets in their own room. That way we cut down in half the amount of shoes laying around. I had a small area where I could set up this cubicle storage unit I got from the local discount department store. They consisted of 1 foot wide by 1 foot tall and 1 foot deep white wooden boxes that you could stack, and I was able to purchase colorful baskets that would fit in this boxes. That got rid of the keys, newspapers etc. I then put up hooks on the walls for backpacks and dog leashes.

I purchased a good quality and tough mat that covered the whole floor area of my back hallway for those mucky days, and almost instantly the hallway looked great and I felt better. So, cross that room off the list, and now you will be inspired to start the next one.

Get your family involved, (or not if you think it will just cause more chaos!) but at least instruct them on the rule of “a place for everything and that does not mean the floor!”

3 Steps to a Great Website

Do you want to start an internet business? Like so many people, the idea sounds great. Work from home, no more commuting, no more annoying boss, just yourself and your business. Sounds good right?. But you sit down at your computer and the whole thing just seems to daunting and overwhelming.

Getting yourself a website, is probably one of the best ways to get going with your internet business. But even that alone can be overwhelming.

It doesn’t have to be. Here are three steps to getting your internet marketing business started.

1. Come up with a great idea or niche for your website. Without this step, you are dead in the water. You don’t even need computer or internet experience to do this step. Think of your everyday activities or things you have needed to find out about, but were frustrated with the information out there. Even the smallest part of your daily activities, could be holding the key to a great website idea.

2. Come up with a great domain name (or business name) for your website. It should have at least one important keyword that relates to your site. You should be able to figure out what your site is about from the domain name. Just like having a business name over your door in a mall. Don’t make it too long, something easy to remember if you can. Then go to a domain registry site, such as GoDaddy.com and play in the search field with your domain name ideas, and see what comes up.

If you are lucky and the name is not taken, then register it right away, you don’t need to have a website yet to register a domain name. This way it is yours before someone else comes up with the same idea. The cost is usually per year, and not very much.

3. If you have not got much experience with the internet and websites, then find a hosting company that also has website templates is a great idea, some of them will even register your domain name idea, kind of like a one-stop-shop. There will most likely be a monthly charge, for hosting and templates, but for your first website, this is a great way to go. Find one that will give your website a professional look, with lots of online support if you need it. This way, all you do, is fill your website with your information and they will take care of the rest.

Then you are on your way. Make sure you let all your friends and relatives know about your website. (This is the cheapest way, word of mouth). But now your internet business has been started! congratulations!  click here for a professional yet easy website in 60 seconds!

Make Money with Domain Names

If you want to start a home business, and are looking to the internet for some ideas, but don’t really want to get into website building etc.. why not consider creating and selling domain names?

There are many internet marketers out there, that are making good money selling domain names. Especially ones who started early when the internet was just getting started.

But its not too late. Take a look at what is going on around you for some ideas and niche’s, when the gas crisis hit, there were many domain names created for websites on saving gas. Try to come up with original niche ideas, that would be good for a website, and try and create a domain name to match it.

If you thought it was a great idea, chances are someone else will like the idea too, and purchase your domain name from you. If your domain name is really catchy it could fetch a high dollar amount, and wouldn’t that make your day!

While you are brainstorming these brilliant website ideas and domain names, make sure to write them down, it is easy to forget them during your busy day. Then do a search on a domain registry and see what comes up. Don’t be discouraged by “this name is already taken”. Keep trying, and then once you find that perfect domain name, register it, then it is yours.

Then you have to decide what to do with it, you could choose to just keep it and renew it each year, you could start that website, or you can sell your domain name on the registry or sites like Ebay. Or you can park it where it will make you some advertising money.

There are a few parking sites out there, and if you have quite a few names, it would be something worthwhile to consider. You might as well turn those pieces of future real estate into some cash.  how to make money with your domain names

Surfing your Brain Waves for Great Domain Names

Picture this.. you are sitting at work, bored out of your tree, when a brilliant idea for a website enters your brain space! You get excited about it, and are about to look up some ideas on the internet, when your boss walks by, and calls you into a meeting.

Later, after you digest the meeting, and have your day mapped out for you, you think you will take a few minutes to check out that fabulous idea you had earlier in the day, when all you can do is draw a blank. You blink at the computer, and realize that, that “brain wave” you had, just left the building.

Here is what you do.. you go to the nearest dollar store after work, and you buy yourself a small notepad. Yes, its that simple, and you carry this notepad everywhere. When you have another attack of the “brain waves” then write it down.

Your brain can only hold so much, and these inspirations will flutter through your brain, and then flutter out the other side. Have you ever tried to remember a dream you had the night before?.. First thing in the morning, you will remember some of it, but as the day wears on, and your brain fills up with daily stuff, your dream will disappear. Some people keep a notepad by their bed, so they can write down these dreams, which could also be great ideas for a domain name, website idea, business idea who knows?

Just write everything down. Now what do you do with all these notes and ideas?. Come up with some great website ideas, and domain names for these potential websites. Sometimes just coming up with the name, will inspire a great idea for a website. But some days, your brain might be going a mile a minute and come up with some really great domain names, but not sure about the website part just yet.

Go to your home computer and register those great domain names. This way you will find out if they are truly original, and then they are yours. Once you have done this, you may end up with a large list of domain names. Now find a way to make some money with these domain names, while you are brain storming a website idea. Research domain name parking. Some registry sites will let you park names in return for advertising income. So, now that you have a system for these great domain names, keep that notepad by you, and write your ideas down, you will thank yourself later.

Make Your Domains Work for You

Are you a creative person? Do you enjoy coming up with great business names?. Are you the “idea” person at work?. Then why not continue this creativity onto the internet.

More and more people are entering the world wide web, and it is becoming increasingly harder and harder to come up with a great domain name, especially with a “dot com“ at the end of it. If you go to such sites as Go Daddy, and try out your creative website name in a search, you will be amazed at how many times the search will come back “This name already taken”. You have to really start thinking through your domain names.

For a great website, you need to start with at least an idea of what the website will be about, then come up with a great domain name. Think of some great niche’s, think of the everyday things you do, and keep a notepad with you, just in case you come up with lots of great inspiring ideas. You could have a flash of brilliant ideas at work, only to lose them somewhere between your boss driving you nuts and coffee break, so write them down!

Once you have these great ideas for websites, get on your computer right away, and register those inspiring domain names, even if you have not got the time to start the actual website, at least you will have the name registered to you.

If down the road, you decide you don’t want that name anymore, you can always sell it. But if you want your domain names to be working for you, at least while you think of a great website, there are sites that will let you “park” your domain name and possibly make some money in advertising.

If you are one of those creative people, who have come up with many domain names and have them registered, waiting for the day you get that great website going, at least make them working domains, and cash in on some advertising money while you wait. This is also a great way to find out, how inspiring those domain names really are. Take a look at any of the domain registry sites, and see about the domain parking possibilities for your future money making sites. There is usually a monthly fee, but if you have lots of inspiring domain names out there, it might be worth it. make money with your domain names  get your home internet business started now..  Article by Diane Palmer

De-Clutter your Life and your Finances

Do you come home from work, and trip over toys, shoes, backpacks, etc..?

Is your house filling up with those “must have’s” that were suppose to make your life easier?

There is no question, that our generation has more “stuff” then our parents and grandparents, and this stuff we keep buying, is just creating the clutter it was suppose to help us with. Does this sound familiar?

One of the best ways, I have found to deal with stress, is to pick a room, and find yourself two boxes. One for donations, and one for the “stuff” that you might be able to sell at that next garage sale or online. Be ruthless, if you have not bothered with the item for over a year, then get rid of it.

Once you get through your house or apartment, you will begin to feel less stressed, as your rooms look emptier, and actually bigger!. Plus you can now sell your “stuff” and turn that stress into cold hard cash. It is amazing how much better you will feel, and you will feel more in control.

Now that your space is a de-cluttered, sit down and do the same thing with your bills and finances. Organize your piles of paper, that were mixing in with the clutter in your dining room. Get yourself a filing cabinet, or expandable folder, and make up some files for your paid bills, credit card statements, phone bills, car payments etc. You really only need to keep these statements for approx. one year. As you file your next paid bill, you take the oldest one out and shred it.

Keep a current file, for bills that need to be paid, and start looking at combining some bills, such as internet, cell phones, and TV. If you use the same provider for all three, you will bundle your bill and save big bucks. The same with your credit cards. Bundle the balance of high interest ones onto a lower interest one, and then make extra payments to get rid of it with the payment you will save from the other cards. Cut up the excess cards, and cancel the account.

You will feel more in control and ready to attack your finances, once your life is de-cluttered and you feel less stressed when you walk in the door. It is truly amazing how great you will feel when you can see the actual floor or the counter in your home, minus all the crap, it is like letting go of an anchor.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Mix first 5 ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix with a whisk.

Put bacon grease in the 10” skillet over medium high heat, and watch it carefully (don’t want a grease fire!) when it gets good and hot, pour into the batter, stirring as you pour.  Then pour the mixture back into the skillet.

Place the skillet on the middle rack of your oven, and bake until springy and pulling away from the sides.

Does Your Cat Have the Terrible Two’s?

Does your cat remind you of the “terrible two’s”?  Having a hissy fit, when they don’t get their own way?

My cat was just like that.  Although I loved her dearly, she had some pretty bad habits, that I let her get away with, because I didn’t want to take the time to really train her.

Finally it came to the point, where my family wanted the cat to go, as she was using my countertop as a batting cage!

When we all left for the day, my cat, would climb onto the chair, then onto the kitchen counter, and then take her paw and quickly send anything and everything on the counter flying across the room.  Butter dish, odds and ends dish, bread basket, cutlery.  She was not happy until all the counter was empty, and then we would find her laying flat out on the counter with all this mess on the floor.

I am not sure where or how she developed this habit, whether she was mad at us for something, or what, but it had to stop.

I did some reading, and gathering some ideas, and tried the simplist ones first, and they worked.  In the morning, I sprinkled a small amount of pepper on the counter.. that seemed to put her off right away.  She quickly linked sneezing with the countertop and stopped.  Slowely I stopped sprinkling the pepper and things were fine.

In the end, we got a second cat, that was more active than her, and she enjoyed the company.  I really do think she was bored and by gaining this second cat we all now live in harmony, as these two cats tire each other out during the day when we are not there.

Now I am not saying, you have to get a second cat, but for us that worked, but the pepper worked as well, there are many simple ideas, that you can try, to save your cat and your house, give them a try before you do anything drastic!.  click here for more cat training tips  and save your cat and your home.
