TRULY THE BEST MOVIES EVER

There are movies that will just make you kill ur time(and sometime kill ourselves) and there are some movies that will make you travel along with those characters involved. And the movies “ The Shawshank Redemption “ and “The Truman Show” are the some of the best. These are the two movies that will make you cry, laugh, and push you to anger along with those characters.

About The Truman Show: At first on seeing Jim Carrey name in the cast list of the movie (thanks to IMDB) I thought it would be a comical or fell good movie. So I decided to download it (thanks to torrents), on seeing its excellent ratings. But to my surprise for the second time (1st surprise for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind),I was taken aback by the serious tone in the movie and again to my surprise Jim Carrey was at his best in pouring his acting skills in each and every scene. His performance in that movie was simply stupendous and mind-blowing. Every cast in that movie was so adapted and cleanly fitted as per the requirement, especially Laura Linney and Ed Harris. I watched that movie back to back for 3 times in a day to understand the movie in each and every frame.(U should watch it two times at least to know about each and every scene background works).I really wonder why Jim Carrey didn’t get Oscar for this movie and he truly deserved the Academy awards. Screw the OSCARS.

About Shawshank Redemption: On seeing this movie at the top most rating in 2nd place (next to godfather),I decided to download this movie to know whether it deserved that rating. Even after finishing the download process I was not interested in seeing that movie because of its background (fully inside prison).But on seeing the movie sideline” FEAR CAN HOLD YOU PRISONER.HOPE CAN SET YOU FREE” I came to an conclusion that there must be something noteworthy in this movie. The movie starts in a usual manner as in all Hollywood movies type (like shit).Tim Robbins convicted for killing his wife (and her lover) and go to prison for spending his whole life. There he gets the friendship of Morgan Freeman another convicted criminal and the rest follows as in all Hollywood movies. For ur surprise you can expect most of the scene in that movie before it reveals and most of the scenes makes you think of some other movies you would have seen. But the two things that make the movie awesome,stupendous,excellent.feel good is…..the excellent castings and the wonderful presentation from Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. I don’t have any words to describe their way of acting which really pierced my heart and made me laugh in happiness(especially climax scene).So please watch this movie and give comments about it.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement Conduct Raids

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) today conducted raids in Houston Texas rounding up over 100 illegal aliens. Normally I would criticize the ICE. But today I have nothing but praise for them.

In my humble opinion it is about time. The illegal aliens they rounded up are not working men and women trying to feed their families. They are fugitives running from the law as well as ICE. Most are wanted for violent crimes such as murder, wife beating, assault and a host of other lesser crimes.

Houston Texas has over 38,000 fugitives that are also illegal aliens. Most of these fugitives could care less about their families. They could care less about working and improving their lot in life. They are here to rob and scam anyone they can. And they do it here (in the USA) because this is where the laws are more favorable to the offender. It is also a land that is better off economically.

I applaud the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency because this is what they should be doing. Enough of apprehending people who’s only crime is seeking a better economy in which to feed and better their family. I believe that if ICE were to concentrate on deporting illegal aliens that are violent offenders, more citizens as well as undocumented workers would be more than willing to cooperate with the apprehension of these persons.

If Houston Texas has over 38,000 fugitives that are also illegal aliens imagine how many there are in all the large cities across the USA. There could be hundreds of thousands. Certainly enough to keep the ICE busy for a while.

This is a sensitive issue. Congress has yet to come forward with a comprehensive plan to alleviate or address the problem. While the great debate continues, ICE should continue and even increase its efforts to apprehend these criminals.

Should the ICE be spending scarce resources apprehending working persons and making orphans of children born in the United States while these hardened criminals are loose among us? Would not those scarce resources be better spent apprehending murders, wife beaters, child molesters, robbers, con artists, etc.?

We, as a nation, have limited resources. The needs addressed by those resources should be prioritized and the resource expended according to the priority. Priority number one; keep our citizens, homes and streets safe. If Immigration and Customs Enforcement can do that, the morals of our great nation will take care of the rest.

As much as I loved my mother Violet Zelinski, it will come as a surprise to some people that over the years I didn’t buy her Mother’s Day flowers, Mother’s Day cards, or Mother’s Day candy for Mother’s Day. I did buy her dinner, however, and spent quality time with her every Mother’s Day. Perhaps you should do likewise every Mother’s Day. 

Truth be known, you don’t have to feel guilty about not buying Mother’s Day gifts, Mother’s Day flowers, or Mother’s Day cards to help your mother celebrate Mother’s Day. Not buying your mother cards, flowers, or candy to help her celebrate this special event is not about being stingy and saving yourself a few bucks, however. There is a much better reason. We have to go back to the origins of Mother’s Day to place this in proper perspective.

Anna May Jarvis was just two weeks shy of forty-two, working for a life insurance company in Philadelphia, when her mother (Mrs. Anna Reese Jarvis) died on May 9, 1905. It was the second Sunday of the month. The next year Anna May Jarvis made her life goal to see her mother and motherhood honored annually throughout the world. Jarvis felt children often neglected to appreciate their mother enough while she was still alive. She hoped Mother’s Day would increase respect for parents and strengthen family bonds.

Two years after her mother’s death, Anna Jarvis and her friends began a letter-writing campaign to gain the support of influential ministers, businessmen, and congressmen in declaring a national Mother’s Day holiday. In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation from the U.S. Congress to establish the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day forevermore.

Ironically, the commercialization of the day she had founded in honor of motherhood - today it is the biggest business day of the year for U.S. restaurants and flower shops - was not what Anna May Jarvis had envisioned. Jarvis wanted people to spend a lot of quality time with their mothers and let their mothers know how special they were.

Sadly, Jarvis, who never married and was never a mother herself, retired from her job at the insurance company to spend her remaining thirty-four years, and her entire fortune of over $100,000, campaigning against the commercialization of Mother’s Day.

Whenever she could, Anna May Jarvis would speak out. She was known to crash florists’ conventions to express her distaste for their “profiteering” from Mother’s Day. Eventually too old to continue her campaign, she ended up deaf and blind - not to mention penniless - in a West Chester, Pennsylvania, sanitarium, where she died in November 1948 at the age of eighty-four.

“Why not give your mother Mother’s Day flowers, Mother’s Day cards, or Mother’s Day candy?” you may ask. “Flowers,” declared Jarvis, “are about half dead by the time they’re delivered.” As for candy, Jarvis advised, “Mother’s Day has nothing to do with candy. Candy is junk. You give your mother a box of candy and then go home and eat most of it yourself.”

“Then what’s wrong with Mother’s Day cards?” you may add. Jarvis felt that “a maudlin, insincere printed card or a ready-made telegram means nothing except that you’re too lazy to write to the woman who has done more for you than anyone else in the world.”

Tell your mother the truth about Mother’s Day and you won’t have to spend money on Mother’s Day flowers, Mother’s Day candy, or Mother’s Day cards to help her celebrate her special event of the year. Heck, you don’t even have to buy her a copy of one of my books as a Mother’s Day gift. You should, however, make her a special gourmet dinner or take her out to a fine restaurant. Don’t cheap out!

Most important, you should spend a lot of quality time with your mother on Mother’s Day. She will appreciate this immensely. What’s more, if she were still living today, Anna May Jarvis would be so pleased that you celebrate the second Sunday of May with your mother in the essence and the true spirit of Mother’s Day!

Are The Laws Against Polygamy Religious Persecution?

Once again a religious retreat has been raided by the U.S. Government. Over 400 children taken from their family and placed in a stranger’s house.

The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is an organized religion. It has its roots in the Mormon Church. Much the same as the Episcopalian Church has its roots in the Catholic Church.

The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a doctrine which allows men to take several wife’s. The Muslim religion also has this feature.

Not everyone wants to practice this type of religion. I for one do not agree that a man should have more than one wife. Nor do I agree that a person should marry more than once. But the fact remains that I cannot impose my morals and beliefs on my neighbors. Many of my neighbors have married and divorced 3, 4, even 5 times. This is something I view as an American version of polygamy.

Our Constitution guarantees us the right to religious freedom. The first amendment reads in part: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;…” What happened to the part about “prohibiting the free exercise thereof”?

I also take issue with the words used to report this incident. Children being sent to bed without supper is the same as children being deprived of food. Children being left in isolation is the same as children being placed in a time out box. A religious retreat is the same as a religious compound. Sect, Cult and Religion all describe the same thing. A man with a gun can be a “terrorist” or a “freedom fighter“, just depends on what side of the fence you are on.

The authorities have now disrupted forever the lives of 400 plus children. These are children that for the rest of their lives will remember the U. S. Government as the force that took them from their family. The force that placed them in a stranger’s house (yes house not home). These are 400 plus citizen that will always feel a resentment towards the government.

As for the raid justification? Authorities say a phone call to a women’s shelter from the wife of one of the men led the court to issue a search warrant, even though it was reported she recanted in a later phone call. Could this be just a disagreement between husband and wife? However, and something very important to remember, is that the caller cannot be found. Is this just a ploy by our government to justify their interference into the lives of law abiding citizens that practice a different religion?

Media reports indicate the wife was threatened by hell fire and eternal damnation if she left the family. Is this the same hell fire and eternal damnation that befalls Church of Christ members that stray from the Church teachings? Same goes for the Baptists, Catholics and most religions.

In my part of the world, here in Texas, a lot of children go to bed hungry. A lot of children have no clothes to wear for school. Some children have a prostitute for a mother. Some children have no father, or if they do have one he is a drug addict. UNCLE SAM WHERE ARE YOU. THE CHILDREN OF THIS COUNTRY NEED YOU. Why then does the government not take those children and put them in safe foster homes? Those children are in much more danger than those at the religious retreat.

Instead of persecuting those that have a different religion, how about lending those resources to the ones that really need them.

Plus size Model Nancy Hayssen … bares it all

In a world where size zero is the expected norm… it is nice to see a “plus size model” become successful. Nancy Hayssen, is one of those models, and she is beautiful and is trying to help change the modeling industry, especially after the publication of a very “anorexic” looking model in Europe.

According to statistics, 6 out of every 10 North American women are considered “plus size”. Plus size is considered size 14 and up. This means that more than 1/2 of the female population will be buying the latest fashions and styles in a size 14 and up.

Then why do they insist on displaying size zero models?. Why not show your fashion designs on a “average size” woman and help the self esteem of many young girls.

Young teenage girls want to fit in, and will aspire to become like these models. The problem is, that if your frame is larger, you are never going to be a size zero no matter what diet you try. But there are many young girls damaging their health trying to maintain this image.

In the last few years, stores have sprung up that cater to the plus size girl and women, but they are separate from the main stream stores, which further alienates a young girl. I personally am considered a “plus size”, at size 14-16, and after seeing a style in the window of a popular store, I went in, only to be told “my size is in the back”… like I had a disease or something. The front of the store only had size zero to 8.

Lately though, I have noticed a few more stores catering to all the sizes, and as long as we have beautiful “plus size models”, like Nancy Hayssen, then we should start seeing more styles and fashions for the 6 out of 10 women in North America that fit into the “plus size” label. Who came up with that term anyway?

Nancy Hayssen, is also a great author, and has written a book “You can be sexy at any size”.. she also is in a small film clip where she talks about her modeling career as a plus size model, and she is comfortable enough with her body to pose naked for the camera, (tastefully of course). This is a real plus for us larger girls. The short film gets the point across quite well…

Bulletproof backpacks and slash proof hoodies?

Two companies have created these products and they are selling quickly around the world….the bulletproof backpacks, and the slash proof hoodies,  but how far should we go before we scare our children.?

As a kid, I used to ride on handlebars of my best friends bike,  and lay on the back shelf of the family car while driving along the highway…. now both of these are not smart moves, and child safety has come along way, with bike helmuts, and childseats.

But never in my wildest dreams, did I ever think that one day my children would have to wear bulletproof backpacks and slash proof hoodies to school, go through a metal detector, and not touch another child in the playground for fear of an assault charge.

I believe in child safety, just like any other parent, but at what cost?..  Children should go outside and play and enjoy life.  Educate them on safety rules and wear their seatbelts.  Adult life is scarey enough, without instilling it in our children…

Choose the right website content

As with any commercial venture, the nature of the game is to make money. Websites are no different and there are many ways to generate income from your online presence. Unless you are a well known and well established retail merchant, you will need to find a way to have users come to your website and (hopefully) purchase something through your advertisements. Whether you have your own product, utilize affiliate marketing or furnish pay per click advertisements, you need some bait to draw your potential customers to your site.

The adage “Content is King” is very true on the world wide web. Without articles and information to present to people searching the web for things that interest them, they would simply move on to the next site. There are several ways in which you can fill your website with information to hold your user’s attention.

The first option many newcomers take is to write their own content or hire someone to ghostwrite the information for them. This will work well if you are articulate and can present your information in an easily understood form. If you are hiring someone to write the information for you, the cost of putting together a decent sized website can stretch a new webmaster’s budget.

Another way to fill your pages with information is by using article directories. These websites are designed as repositories of articles on a multitude of subjects that you can pick and choose as you will to put on your own website. The advantages to using article directories is that you can quickly add content to your site that will be of interest to your viewers. The downside to using article directories is that for one, you cannot change the articles at all. These articles are provided as a service and either the author or the directory site retains the copyright.

Directory articles are provided free, but have hyperlinks to the author’s own websites imbedded in the byline information at the bottom of the article. This provides the person who furnished the article an extra back link to their site which aids them in increasing their rating with the search engines.

A third option lies somewhere in between these two choices. A growing number of web companies offer article packs grouped into specific niche interests. These collections of articles are sold with “Private Label Rights”. This means you can do whatever you want with them. You may put them on your site and attach your own byline. You can resell them to others and most importantly, you are permitted to edit and modify them to include your own unique details and information. This is the preferred method of utilizing these private label articles.

Most of the major search engines will discover and assign a lower ranking to webpages that have duplicate copy on them. In order to work your website toward the first pages of a search engine result you will need among other things, to keep your content as unique as possible. A packet of private label articles will generally cost less than if you had to hire someone to produce your content for you. The simple task of modifying the articles for your website can give you the satisfaction of being a part of your site’s development. With just a little effort you can take the basic articles you bought this way and turn them truly into your own creation.

7 Steps to Unleash Dynamic Energy

Do these Things to Release Dynamic Energy:

1. Set some goal for yourself that you are trying to achieve.

Make that goal big enough so that it will excite your imagination and arouse tremendous interest. Your energies will rise in proportion to the needs you have. If you have a goal to make only fifty dollars a week, it is not a very inspiring goal. If you push that goal and set a figure such as two hundred and fifty dollars a week, instantly your subconscious mind will release the dynamic energy and the dynamic ideas to make it possible to achieve the larger sum.

2. Have some person or persons in your life that you are trying to help. This can be your own mate, your children, your mother and father; whatever it is that you are trying to do for others unselfishly will automatically give you greater energy and more stamina to endure and persist. If you live just for yourself, it is unlikely that you will have more than just enough life-force to exist. Florence Nightingale was the first woman in history to go out into battle to help nurse soldiers. She freed womankind from the restrictions of their sex, and created a new and honorable profession for women. This frail woman was so inspired by her desire to help the sick, that it gave her tremendous energy and vitality.

3. Find work that you really enjoy doing.And if you happen to be in work you despise get out of it as soon as possible. Nothing will so quickly lower the curve of energy as being in work you detest. It has even been known to make some people chronically sick because they are constantly frustrated. This restricts the glandular action of the body and depresses the body organs. But if you are in work you love, your body cells sing with joy and health and energy, they are stimulated, so that you constantly feel good.

4. Have hobbies that give you pleasure as well as relaxation. Dynamic energy is created when your mind is interested in doing something. It is vitally important that you have avocations as well as a vocation. The moments you give to painting, writing poetry or stories, modeling in clay, stamp collecting, rug weaving or whatever hobby you indulge, are moments well spent, for they will serve to release energy which will make your regular work easier and less boring.

5. If you are not already in love with someone, fall in love as quickly as you can.Nothing helps release dynamic energy so quickly and potently as being in love. Science is now aware of the importance of this powerful emotion in our lives. Children thrive and are healthy when loved. When denied love they are sickly and lacking in energy and interest.

6. Set daily goals for yourself that you are trying to achieve.

If you are a salesman, set a certain number of sales. If an author, set a certain number of pages you wish to write. If a student, a certain course of study which you do regularly. It has been found that the mind responds to the challenge of direct suggestion. If you know you are going to play eighteen holes of golf, the body and brain see to it that the necessary energy and drive are created to carry you through that course. If a prize fighter builds himself up mentally to take on a certain opponent, his body will release the energy to carry him into that ring facing formidable opposition. As you achieve these small goals at first, keep raising the level of your goal, until you have reached a high peak of energy and achievement.

7. Each day, when you start your activities, say a series of suggestions that will be energy-boosters to your subconscious mind.

Here are a few you might memorize and repeat every day when you feel the need of inspiration or greater mental or physical energy.

  • I am strong and healthy.
  • I can accomplish anything I desire.
  • I am young and vital, and my body now responds with new energy and vitality to do all my tasks today.
  • I am happy, happy, happy.
  • I find joy in my work and my life sparkles with interest and happiness.
  • I have faith in myself, my work and my destiny.
  • I now extend this faith to the entire world.
  • I am successful, well-liked, and attract friends to myself.
  • I now radiate confidence, poise and inner power.
  • I love everyone I meet, and they will in turn love me.
  • I am rich as any millionaire; with gifts of mental and physical health, free estates of parks, and the golden gifts of friendship, love, peace, happiness and beauty.

Whenever you feel tired or discouraged, or your energy is low, just stop whatever you are doing, breathe deeply for ten or fifteen times, say all of the above energy-boosters, and really mean them, then you will see how quickly your mind recovers its sharpness, and your body becomes filled with new energy and vitality.
